WWE Crown Jewel: 10 Things That Must Happen
2. The WWE Title Match Main Events
...these guys.
Both AJ Styles and Samoa Joe are near the top of the list when it comes to dream rivals for a revitalised Shawn Michaels. Few would blame WWE for putting HBK in a title bout against AJ, for example, especially if he impresses at Crown Jewel. Title or otherwise, that match must go down before Shawn walks off into the sunset a second time.
In the short-term, Crown Jewel should end with a blistering WWE Title defence for Styles. Joe's last-minute replacement status for Daniel Bryan doesn't change that; Bryan or not, this will still be the best pure wrestling match on the card come Friday. It's one the show badly needs to close things out.
On the SmackDown after it, attention can turn to something special. Either Bryan can lament losing his opportunity last week whilst congratulating his mentor on a job well done or AJ can crow about beating two top-ranked challengers in one week. Then, imagine the excitement if Michaels turned up on Tuesday nights leading into WrestleMania and gunned for AJ's WWE Title.
We're sold.
