WWE Crown Jewel 2023: 10 Nightmares That Could Come True

2. LA Knight Was Just Flavour Of The Month

Will LA Knight be a higher-profile Zack Ryder?

Don't rule it out, because the company has previous when it comes to dumping stars who catch fire with the audience. Obviously, creative has backed Knight well to this point, but it could all come crashing down after Crown Jewel. He'll likely fail to beat Roman Reigns. What's next after that?!

LA can become a sustainable headliner even in defeat, sure, but not if WWE loses interest in him. No-one should enjoy the idea of Knight being revealed as some creative team flavour of the month - the kind of flavour that's irresistible to begin with, but then gets boring as soon as you stumble upon another.

People have Knight in the convo to win January's Royal Rumble, so the fanbase believes in this dude. The layout of Saturday's match vs. Reigns, and the aftermath on TV, will reveal whether or not WWE's decision makers view him as a long-term concern.
