WWE Crown Jewel: 8 Things WWE Got Right

6. Keeping Hulk Hogan’s Role Minimal

This was as minimal a re-entry into the WWE sphere as Hulk Hogan has enjoyed in his career. There was no big storyline, no recurring appearances and no follow up. All Hulk did was welcome folks to the show then stroll off back up the ramp to mingle backstage.

It was exactly what it needed to be.

Taking the soft approach to Hogan's return was wise. Some remain skeptical over the sincerity of his apology for racist comments and others, whilst willing to forgive, don't want to see the legend in a featured role. This ticked every box then, because it re-introduced Hulk without going too hard on his iconic status.

Hogan's smile said it all. He's thrilled to be back, and now he can wheedle his way in to bigger roles slowly pre-WrestleMania 35. For the fans who still like Hogan, this was a cathartic experience. For those who are indifferent, it was an inoffensive, relatively swift sprint through his catchphrases.
