WWE CWC: 9 Most Awesome Spots From This Week’s Show (July 20)
6. Rocking Horse
But there was so much more to TJ Perkins’ game that
showboating and bravado. Towards the latter stages of his win over Da Mack, he
began to showcase some of the many submissions he has within his arsenal.
Some of the highlights included his Indian Deathlock, an Octopus Stretch (basically the same as AJ Lee’s Black Widow) and of course the Rolling Knee Bar that would eventually bring him victory.
But perhaps the most awesome of all was the Boston Crab variation that I’m reliably informed is called a Rocking Horse. No prizes for guessing why…
After locking in the basic Crab, Perkins reached back for Da Mack’s arms, torqueing them back and lifting the German off the mat—though he stopped short of actually rocking him. Once again, Daniel Bryan called it right saying that Perkins does what no one else will do, and this was a just one of many examples.
And when someone like Bryan is putting over your submissions, you know you’re on the right track.
