WWE CWC: 9 Most Awesome Spots From This Week’s Show (July 20)

3. Spanish Fly

Even after all of that, though, Dorado and Ali still weren’t quite finished.

With Dorado grabbing most of the headlines so far, this time it was Ali’s turn to make his contribution to the highlight reel. With Dorado hesitating on the top turnbuckle, Ali switched the momentum before busting out a phenomenal Spanish Fly - also known as the C4 - from the very top rope.

Not only that, though, it was also essentially a springboard variant of the move; Ali had begun from the middle rope, before leaping onto the adjacent top rope and then pulling out the backflip in one smooth motion.

Heads were in hands in the Full Sail crowd and Daniel Bryan was speechless on commentary. Somehow it only scored a two-count, though, and Dorado would eventually pick up the pin following a Shooting Star Press.

But this was another exceptional spot that required so much precision from both guys involved, and might just have been enough to earn the duo a rather more permanent deal.
