WWE Draft 2017: 10 Things That Need To Happen
8. Tye Dillinger Stays On SmackDown
Tye Dillinger's promotion to the main roster has seemed inevitable for months now, but the more fans yearned for him to come up (just try to figure out what the referee is counting over chants of "TEN!") the longer he seemed to be kept down in NXT.
But SmackDown is the 'land of opportunity', and after spending the better part of a decade down in developmental, it seems that the blue brand has become The Perfect 10's salvation.
Debuting on the Smackdown after WrestleMania, Dillinger came out to answer Curt Hawkins's open challenge, beating him in quick fashion. The crowd went wild for the long overdue call-up, and there was an overwhelming sense that Dillinger was where he belonged.
But both RAW and Smackdown's announce teams have hypothesised that even recently debuted Superstars will be eligible for the 'Shakeup', a fact confirmed by The Revival's presence on the draft's promotional graphic.
It seems unlikely, but to shift Dillinger onto RAW after already appearing on the blue brand would be a disastrous and momentum-killing move, especially considering how RAW's roster now heavily outweighs Smackdown's, both in terms of sheer numbers and main event-level talent.
