5. On Air Personalities Get (More) Brand-Specific

A lot of WWE's non-wrestling performers technically are brand-specific, but there are still areas where confusion can be cleared up. For example, although ring announcers and commentators are firmly locked in to either RAW or SmackDown, there's confusion as to where Renee Young stands. She serves as a pre-show host for both brand's PPV's, but only appears as an interviewer on SmackDown. She is loosely considered to be part of the SmackDown roster, but she also occasionally hosts RAW Talk.

The same could be said for some of WWE's other backstage interviewers, who seem to divide their time between RAW, SmackDown, and NXT. By assigning every on screen personality to a specific show (and perhaps having them introduce themselves as 'RAW Correspondent Charly Caruso', for example, in order to let fans put names and personalities to faces), it makes each brand feel different and aesthetically unique.

On a similar note, the 'Superstar Shakeup' serves as a great time to better quantify shows like RAW Talk. Is it a weekly show in the same vein as Talking Smack, or is it something that should just be reserved for PPVs and special events, so as not to overwhelm viewers after a three hour episode of TV?
