WWE Draft 2017: 10 Trades To Expect

7. Kalisto To Raw

New Day Smackdown
WWE Network

Kalisto had the opportunity to not only become Cruiserweight Champion at Survivor Series 2016, but also transfer the whole division to SmackDown. Bewilderingly, WWE opted to instead have Baron Corbin interfere and crush both the former Lucha Dragon and champion Brian Kendrick, and aside from eating a bunch of losses, Kalisto is done nothing since.

He should have been inserted into the Cruiserweight division from the moment it was announced, and the forthcoming Superstar Shake-up gives WWE the chance to finally make the move. Kalisto barely features on television at the moment, and when he does, it’s usually so he can play jobber to the stars. Moving him to Raw would allow him to spread his wings, play a starring role on 205 Live, and compete for championship gold again.

Neville has benefited immensely from joining the Cruiserweight ranks, and there’s no reason Kalisto can’t follow a similar path. He has proven himself to be one of WWE’s most exciting wrestlers when given a chance, but he’s gathering dust at the moment, and with the renewed attention the Cruisers have had in recent weeks, sending Kalisto to Raw must be on the company’s mind.
