WWE Draft 2017: 10 Trades To Expect

2. Charlotte To SmackDown

Having dominated Raw for the best part of a year, it looks like Charlotte’s time is up. The former Women’s Champion can’t get out of Bayley’s pocket at the moment, and after losing at WrestleMania 33, she was submitted by Sasha Banks last night. Nia Jax beat her down after the match, effectively booting Charlotte from Raw, and signifying that she is no longer the brand’s alpha female.

With Banks expected to turn heel and assume Charlotte’s role as Raw’s top villainess, getting Flair out of there would be a shrewd move. There’s little value in keeping her around, and after having her lose so consistently lately, WWE’s plans for Charlotte clearly lie elsewhere.

Charlotte would immediately become SmackDown’s biggest female star, and slot right into the role she left behind on Raw. She could be put into a championship program opposite Naomi without hesitation, or work a fresh, new feud with Mickie James while the champion settles her beef with Alexa Bliss. Either way, Charlotte is exactly the kind of wrestler you build a division around, and would be treated as such on SD.
