8. New Day Go Their Separate Ways (For Now)

This, much like a fair few entries on this list, will divide opinion.

Before leaping at this fan's throat with both hands though, please note the text within those sub-heading brackets. It says that this New Day split would be a temporary thing, and hints of the majesty that'd happen if Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods and Big E someday came back together like brothers in arms should.

There's a story to tell here. Kofi, distraught that his run as WWE Champion is now over, would feel the need to step out of his comfort zone on his own two feet and prove he could hang with a young, hungry roster. That, as the prior entry laid out, would be Paul Heyman's show.

Thus, Kingston would move to Raw and the Xavier/E combo would remain on SmackDown as a popular tag-team. Hell, they could even keep the New Day brand alive and occasionally be shown meeting up with their old chum on pay-per-views. The sad fact is that New Day need a rest from pancakes, rainbows and unicorn horns.
