WWE Draft 2023: 10 Roster Trades That MUST Happen

6. Drew McIntyre (SmackDown > Raw)

WWE SmackDown Cody Rhodes
WWE

It remains to be seen what the future holds for Drew McIntyre.

Time is running out on his current WWE contract, and he's seemingly taking a little time out to heal up after working through some injuries. That doesn't mean he won't be part of the upcoming Draft though - guys and gals have been on the bench before but still been announced as trades.

A one-on-one match vs. GUNTHER is still on the table anyway, so shifting both men to Raw could keep that one open for Drew's return. Generally, he appears to have run his course on SmackDown. Perhaps a heel turn and run as one of the brand's top villains would keep McIntyre interested in more WWE goodness.

He's far too talented to miss out on top spots for long, and WWE management surely knows that. Selfishly, yours truly fancies seeing a heel Drew collide with Edge down the road too. They'd work some magic together on pay-per-view.
