WWE Elimination Chamber 2017: 10 Things That Must Happen

7. American Alpha Remain SmackDown Tag-Team Champs

Chad Gable and Jason Jordan have only been SmackDown Tag-Team Champions since December. The new champs haven't really had a proper feud to sink their teeth into since winning the belts, though, and that continues when they defend against virtually every team on the blue brand in a thrown-together Tag-Team Turmoil match.

Breezango, The Ascension, The Usos, The Vaudevillains and the team of Heath Slater and Rhyno join Alpha in the match. Right now, picking one of those units to dethrone Gable and Jordan seems brave, if not stupid. Slater/Rhyno have had their run, whereas all of the other teams involved lack the excitement and quality of American Alpha.

Putting Alpha out there first, and having them beat every single team, would instantly establish them as credible champions. Perhaps a tense struggle could be booked against The Ascension, who picked up a pinfall win on the most recent SmackDown.

Konnor and Viktor would then rightly crow about coming close on TV in coming weeks, and those bragging promos would raise the ire of the fighting champions, thus setting up a natural feud.
