WWE Elimination Chamber 2017 - 6 Positives And 4 Negatives
6. Positive: First World Title Chamber Match Since 2014
First and foremost, a major positive heading into Sunday’s show is that the WWE Championship will finally be returning to the Elimination Chamber.
There hasn't been a world title match inside the structure since back in 2014, when Randy Orton—with some help along the way—successfully defended against Daniel Bryan, John Cena, Cesaro, Christian and Sheamus.
In the following year, the Chamber matches featured Intercontinental and Tag Team title action, before 2016 saw the PPV removed from the calendar altogether and fans were deprived of their Elimination Chamber fix.
Given that this is touted as one of the most dangerous matches in WWE, it’s only fitting that the company’s premier prize is reserved for such an occasion.
Plus, those two encounters from 2015 were hardly all-time classics. Thankfully, with this year’s field of Cena, Styles, Ambrose, Miz and Corbin, you can expect a much better showing in our main event and a return to form for the Elimination Chamber.
