Whilst The Miz was blatantly only there to make up the numbers, he was the right man to enter the Chamber early. WWE needed a heel to kick things off due to the seven-man gimmick, and Miz was perfect. It's also notable that Seth Rollins and Finn Bálor were chosen to be in there with him at the start.

Both have worked lengthy matches over the past month or so that cast them as 'Iron Men'; Bálor lasted over 57 minutes in January's Royal Rumble and Rollins worked an hour or so in that Gauntlet Match on Raw recently. Commentary did a nice job of alluding to that fact without overstating it, and this gave the match a shot in the arm.

Go back and watch Sunday's main event a second time and you'll hear Coach and Corey Graves make mention of the slow pace at the beginning. That had to be deliberate. By drawing attention to the lack of speed, both allowed Michael Cole to swoop in and remind them that Bálor and Rollins knew how to pace themselves.

Well played.
