Imagine the uproar if Daniel Bryan survives the Chamber, cuts a knackered shape inside the ring and then jobs to Roman Reigns in seconds. Some fans would be out for blood if WWE dared book Paul Heyman to point out afterwards that Reigns had now topped Sheamus' infamous 18-second victory at WrestleMania XXVIII.

"How could they do this to Bryan?!". Those would be the shouts on social media in the immediate aftermath, and they'd be valid. Bryan is actually one of the only top babyfaces on SmackDown that Roman will have left to work with post-Edge at 'Mania 37, so it's important that WWE keep him strong.

They can do that even if he loses to Reigns following a gruelling Chamber win, but not if it's an outright squash that'd be more at home on Sunday Night Heat than pay-per-view. There's money in a Roman vs. Bryan feud later this year, and WWE need to remember that.
