5. WWE Intercontinental Championship: Big E (c) vs. Jack Swagger (w/ Zeb Coulter)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pzqoGTHPFM0 Like I mentioned in the previous slide, the WWE has the tendency to make a match that has little to no back story it and relies just about the chase for the title. This match is very much evident of that. In the current era of WWE, the upper card and main event are focused on so much that anything else has been basically an after thought. In doing so, they had their Intercontinental Champion, Big E, with no sense of direction. On the February 14th edition of Smackdown, they held a Number 1 Contender's Match for the Intercontinental Championship between Mark Henry, Kofi Kingston, Rey Mysterio, and Jack Swagger. Unless you don't understand the process of heels and faces, you knew who was going to win. The problem here isn't that they had a Number One Contender's Match. It is when they held it. Basically a week before the pay-per-view, there was no way they could build enough buzz in that time to start a meaning feud. Will the match be any good? Of course. You have Big E, who is a future champion in the industry who has the strength and agility to be a capable wrestler and the body that is ideal in the company. You have Jack Swagger, who is one of the best technical wrestler in the company and has the strength to go toe to toe with Big E. The problem isn't going to be the quality of the match. It is going to be the meaning behind the moves. I would say that this a toss up match as the Real Americans seem to be getting a push and the Intercontinental Title needs a chase to it. However, Big E is part of the future of this company. They won't take the title off him without a build. Prediction: Big E hits the Big Ending for the pin fall after a failed distraction attempt by Zeb Coulter Odds: Big E-75%, Jack Swagger-25%
