WWE Evolution: 10 Female Superstars That Must Return
2. Trish Stratus
If there was anybody who could compete with Lita for the title of WWE's most celebrated female competitor, it's Trish Stratus. Many would argue that she's the greatest woman to ever grace a WWE ring, and there's certainly evidence to back up such a statement. Known for her in-ring abilities and her wonderful heel persona, Stratus no doubt paved the way for women's wrestling to become what it is today.
She first entered the company back in 2000, where she teamed up with Test and Albert, before moving on to manage another heel in Val Venis. But before long, Stratus was given the opportunity to highlight her in-ring ability, and went on to reign supreme over the women's division for many years. She is a seven-time Women's Champion and, at one point in her career, she even won the Hardcore Championship too. She made history again on the 4 December edition of Raw back in 2004, when she defended her Women's Championship against Lita in the show's main event (actually not the first all female header in Raw history: that honour goes to Alundra Blayze vs. Bertha Faye). Stratus was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2013.
Without Stratus, the WWE women's revolution simply wouldn't exist. The legendary competitor proved that women are just as good in the ring as men, and with the Evolution PPV being WWE's first ever female-only show, the woman who helped make this is a reality needs to be present.
