WWE Extreme Rules: 10 Things Overly Optimistic Fans Hope Will Happen

3. Ric Flair Shows Up During Evolution's Match

When Evolution returned on Raw a few weeks ago, fans loved it because they remembered them as one of the most dominant groups in wrestling history. They worked well together as heels that beat people up, won titles and all of them played their roles the right way. Ric Flair was a key part of Evolution because he represented wrestling's past, but he was also wrestling at the time. He had a run as a tag team champion with Batista while also mentoring Triple H and Orton. Flair isn't a part of this version of Evolution because he's not a full time member of the roster and when WWE has put the camera on him in the past year or so he's had some incidents that they didn't like. The big one was at WWE's video game launch last summer where he was reportedly drunk. He has also had to deal with his son Reid passing away and that's made things difficult for him emotionally because Reid was a wrestler when he passed away. It would be awesome to see Flair return at Extreme Rules as a surprise. Perhaps he could walk Evolution down to the ring for the match and serve as their manager. However, it may be difficult to put him in a role like that because he's the position of a legendary babyface right now and fans may not want to boo him. They could have him out there supporting The Shield. Seeing Flair with his brothers in Evolution again would be an awesome sight to see.
