WWE Extreme Rules 2016: 10 Shocks That Could Happen
2. AJ Styles Becomes WWE Champion
Roman Reigns has only just been placed in the WWE hot seat, following a few years of top brass attempting to convince fans that he's worthy. It hasn't exactly worked, boos ring louder for Roman than perhaps anyone else on the entire main roster, which isn't something that will please those in charge.
Imagine the incredible happened, and AJ Styles left Extreme Rules as WWE World Heavyweight Champion. It seems somehow preposterous that Vince McMahon would allow a man closely associated with TNA to waltz into his promotion and become top champion within 6 short months, but stranger things have definitely happened under the promotion's watch.
Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson will be involved in the match somehow, and they could be the catalyst for a title change. It'd be amazing to see, a truly shocking moment to end the pay-per-view on a high note.
WWE may hate the idea of having Reigns drop the belt so quickly, but something must be done to stop him from being the most hated man on the roster. Unless, of course, another stunning event occurs.
