WWE Extreme Rules 2016: 10 Things That Must Happen

Is Kalisto's time with the US Title about to come to an end?

At Payback, Dean Ambrose defeated Chris Jericho in a straight one-on-one battle. Afterwards, Y2J threw quite the hissy fit, later putting Ambrose in a strait jacket and beating the heck out of him on television. All of that build has led to an 'Asylum' match at Extreme Rules, which is basically a Steel Cage encounter with various weapons attached to the sides.

It's not the only stipulation bout on the pay-per-view, as the show is positively crammed full of them.

Charlotte will meet Natalya in a Submission bout, with the added caveat that Ric Flair is banned from ringside. Elsewhere, Baron Corbin and Dolph Ziggler collide in a No Disqualification affair, The Miz defends the Intercontinental Title in a Fatal-4-Way Match, and AJ Styles challenges for the WWE World Heavyweight Title in an Extreme Rules brawl against Roman Reigns.

Only Kalisto vs. Rusev and The New Day vs. The Vaudevillains are straight-up regular singles and tag matches respectively.

Keeping in mind that WWE are effectively building towards SummerSlam, here's what needs to happen at Extreme Rules to keep that momentum going...

10. Baron Corbin Destroys Dolph Ziggler

It just wouldn't make sense to have Baron Corbin lose again right now since he's a fresh face on the main roster. WWE have already made that mistake recently, booking Dolph Ziggler to overturn the former NXT man during the Kickoff portion of Payback. That can't happen again.

Where would Corbin go if he lost once more?

This time, Ziggler vs. Corbin is a No Disqualification Match, which suggests that the pair will brawl out of the ring and maybe even make use of a weapon shot or two. Dolph is well-established, a loss would hurt him a hell of a lot less than it would Baron. Therefore, Corbin must come out on the winning side.

There's an easy way to do this; lay the match out so that Ziggler comes at his foe all guns blazing and it just isn't enough. Having Corbin soak up punishment isn't an issue, he only has to come out looking like he can take a beating and keep on going.

Ideally, after the match Baron Corbin should be disrespectful towards Ziggler, yet leave. It's time both men moved on.
