It's unclear exactly which match will take place on the Kickoff portion of the show. If it's Baron Corbin vs. Dolph Ziggler again, that's fine, or maybe it'll be Rusev vs. Kalisto that goes on before the main pay-per-view. Whatever WWE decide to do with the Kickoff show, they should look to open Extreme Rules with something fast-paced.

Sami Zayn's entrance music has an infectious energy, and that would pop the live crowd immediately. There are certainly worse ways to open the pay-per-view than with the popular babyface, and fans could settle in to see an all-action Fatal-4-Way over the WWE Intercontinental Title.

The company must be commended on their build for this one, each participant looks like they have a realistic chance of winning. That's quite rare nowadays, but people wouldn't necessarily be disgruntled to see The Miz, Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn or Cesaro as Intercontinental Champ going forward.

This is the ideal match with which to set the tone for Extreme Rules, leaving the more violent gimmick bouts for later on.
