8. Maryse Helps The Miz Escape As Intercontinental Champ

As much as a title switch would pop the live audience, it's not really the greatest idea to change who holds the WWE Intercontinental Title just yet. After all, The Miz has only held the belt for just over a full month, defeating Zack Ryder on the episode of Monday Night Raw the evening after WrestleMania.

With Maryse in tow, Miz is a fine heel champion. He's only become even more unlikeable with his woman by his side, so why not focus on that advantage and make it look like Maryse is invaluable to The Miz and his success? Such a finish would provide an out for WWE, should they wish to write a different conclusion than a simple roll-up for the villain.

If Maryse held The Miz's legs on the ropes for extra leverage, or pushed an opponent's limb from the rope (preventing a break), she'd look like a mastermind. There's still a future for Miz as Intercontinental Champion and the title shouldn't just be changing every month without some serious justification.
