WWE Extreme Rules 2016: 10 Things That Must Happen
7. Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn Continue Their Feud
Earlier in the month at Payback, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn became involved in Cesaro's crack at The Miz and the Intercontinental Title. In essence, the feuding pair served to cost the 'Swiss Superman' his chance, brawling into the ring and allowing Miz to sneak up from behind and steal a victory in the most opportunistic fashion.
Fans really dig seeing Owens and Zayn batter one another, and their rivalry should continue even after Extreme Rules. WWE actually have a brilliant opportunity on their hands to build towards another one-on-one tussle at SummerSlam. Thus far on main roster pay-per-views, the pair have only wrestled once in a singles match.
That was at Payback, but they're involved in a Fatal-4-Way at Extreme Rules. There's also a good chance both will be included in a multi-man match at Money In The Bank, meaning there's room to book another showdown at the biggest party of the summer in August.
The most simple way to do this is to show Owens attacking Zayn backstage later in the pay-per-view, shouting that his former friend cost him the Intercontinental Title again.
