WWE Extreme Rules 2016: 10 Things That Must Happen
2. There's A Break Between Asylum Match & Main Event
The Asylum encounter between Chris Jericho and Dean Ambrose is being touted as a first for WWE, so it stands to reason that the match should have time to breathe on the show. Directly following up on such a spectacle with Roman Reigns vs. AJ Styles in an Extreme Rules situation could be too hot and heavy for some.
Some kind of break would be ideal, perhaps one involving the co-General Managers of Monday Night Raw. Both Shane and Stephanie McMahon have been getting along better as of late, but their story is one building towards fracture in coming months.
They could show hints of that in front of the live crowd on Sunday. Announcing some of the participants for the Money In The Bank Ladder Match, the siblings could disagree on some entrants. This would lead to a series of bouts on Raw and SmackDown in coming weeks to settle matters and dictate who is involved.
The segment wouldn't have to be long, a nice and easy 5-10 minutes in length to give viewers a slight break between the marquee matches.
