WWE Extreme Rules 2016: Every Match Ranked From Worst To Best
7. Asylum Match: Chris Jericho Vs. Dean Ambrose
Result: Ambrose drills Jericho with the Dirty Deeds into a pile of thumb tacks (26:21).
Rating: This one was a lot goofier than the creative team were probably expecting, and the constant climbing up to grab weapons and bring them back down made the pacing feel pretty sluggish.
It also went on far longer than it needed to or anyone watching wanted it to, going by the utterly muted crowd response to the match. Plus, 26 minutes? Really? That's even longer than the main event, and it didn't help that it followed the best match on the show.
Still, it had a nice ending sequence full of fun spots, and it was good to see Jericho taking two tack bumps (even though the second was totally off the mark) considering that he has absolutely nothing to prove at this point. And of course, the right guy definitely won. 4/10
