WWE Extreme Rules 2017: 8 Awesome Moments

5. Whisper In The Wind From The Top Of The Cage

Jeff Hardy Sheamus Cesaro

Jeff Hardy just had to come off the top of the Steel Cage during his Raw Tag-Team Title match. Any time the daredevil is involved in a match with high places, he's expected to throw caution to the wind and fly through the air. At Extreme Rules, it was a Whisper In The Wind instead of the predicted Swanton Bomb.

Ignore the fact that Jeff didn't really come down hard or cause much trouble to Sheamus and Cesaro (who were waiting to catch him gently), because this was still a highlight reel moment for the pay-per-view. It wasn't quite as spectacular as his prior spots, but it was still awesome to watch.

One has to wonder: will Hardy still be expected to do this during part-time appearances around 10 years from now? Jumping off cages in his 50's sounds ominous and reckless, but then that's a trait Jeff has exhibited throughout his entire career. WWE pay-per-view missed this kind of madness.
