Matt and Jeff Hardy will defeat Sheamus and Cesaro at Extreme Rules because apparently that's just what they do.

In just about every tag team and singles match involving the four so far, the North Carolinians have been successful. It's not been without purpose, with their dominance triggering the full heel turn of the former champions following their WrestleMania 33 Ladder Match and a host of knock-backs in the aftermath.

The highlight of the entire angle has been Sheamus, who has performed outstandingly as Cesaro's smug puppet-master, reiterating to fans and his partner that he never wanted to be embraced by the audience in the way they were following their Best-Of-Seven series last year. Using the disdain to fuel Cesaro's actions, he's harnessed their collective aggression with only the results against the champions failing to vindicate his attitude.

It's frankly impossible to see how this match can go any better for the challengers. Taking place in a steel cage as per Matt and Jeff's request (following - you guessed it - a win), the fight should be free of interference, which is the only logical way the heels could realistically take back their titles at this point.

With little in the offing for either combo following this presumably conclusive encounter, expect Matt and Jeff to cruise out of the steel structure still holding gold.
