WWE Extreme Rules 2017: 8 Huge Predictions You Need To Know

4. Blissful Thinking

The 'Kendo Stick on a Pole' stipulation attached to the Women's Title rematch between Bayley and Alexa Bliss has at least added some fire to a tepid rivalry that had previously peaked at the climax of Bliss' shocking victory in front of Bayley's hometown fans at April's Payback pay-per-view.

That fire was nearly extinguished by an absolutely rotten segment on the go-home edition of Monday Night Raw, where WWE creative tried and failed yet again to use organic, slightly nerdy aspects of Bayley's personality fittingly as a stick to beat her with.

Bliss was tremendous in her performance, but it was the only positive in a never-ending slew of unfunny and uninspired WWE scriptwriting ahead of a match fans have a genuine thirst for.

Bliss has attacked Bayley as well as Mickie James with the weapon in previous weeks, and audiences have been dying for 'The Hugger' to find her nasty side and strike back with the deadly device. As of yet, she hasn't, and this has appeared to be a tactical choice in order to deliver her eventual assault at the best possible time and claim back her title.

Unfortunately, she won't. Not only will she be deterred from walloping Bliss, she'll also take another thrashing from an unlikely source, ensuring Bliss remains Champion.
