WWE Extreme Rules 2017: Ranking Fatal 5-Way Competitors Chances

2. Bray Wyatt

Hopefully the move to Monday Night Raw was the beginning of a rehabilitation for Bray Wyatt. While it should be ludicrous to need to rehab a guy who was world champion just two months ago, that's where we're at - and continue to return to - with Wyatt. One of the most talented overall performers on the entire roster saw his momentum sacrificed in order to put over the hot young up-and-comer Randy Orton, knocking him back to square one.

WWE has shown an inability to commit to a direction with Wyatt, teasing feuds with Finn Bálor, Dean Ambrose, and now Samoa Joe in the few short weeks since switching brands. For fans of the former champion it's incredibly frustrating. His performance on Raw - defeating Rollins with the help of Samoa Joe, then thanking his new "ally" with a Sister Abigail - is the first time he's looked like a legitimate threat since the change, and he's someone who has come close to working with Brock previously.

The dynamic between the two could be quite compelling, and Wyatt has already begun targeting 'The Beast' in promos, so it seems as if there's a decent chance Bray will be the man given the nod to challenge Lesnar.

Besides, it's not as if WWE has any problem having Bray lose high profile feuds. Since the match is expected to be a placeholder main event rather than featuring even the remote possibility of a title change, it makes sense Vince and co. would call on Wyatt to do the job.
