WWE Extreme Rules 2018: 10 Things That Must Happen
3. Braun Strowman Crushes KO
There's no way around it: Greatest Royal Rumble winner (remember that?) and "Mr. Monster In The Bank" Braun Strowman has to make light work of Kevin Owens at Extreme Rules.
Being locked inside a cage with a beast like Braun shouldn't be painted as a positive career move for anybody on the WWE roster, let alone someone who has been booked to run from Strowman like Pittsburgh is Tokyo and the big man is Godzilla. There's no other option: Braun has got to destroy his opponent here.
That becomes even more true if WWE plan on making him Brock Lesnar's Universal Title successor later this summer. In order for Strowman to look like a realistic conquerer of Paul Heyman's meal ticket, he has to run though everyone he can.
KO is collateral on Sunday. His job is to bring the same menace out of Braun as a babyface that Roman Reigns (to his credit) did as a heel last year. They only need to go around 10 minutes, if that, and any offensive flurries from Owens must be kept to a minimum.
It's Braun's time.
