Here it is, right on time, the rumour that has existed in every single one of these articles pretty much since he first got injured: Dean Ambrose could be making his shocking insane return at Extreme Rules

Now, yes, there are reports that Ambrose’s return is scheduled for SummerSlam and, yes that would appear to make the most amount of sense but, let’s just think about this for a minute shall we.

Ambrose's new persona, we’re all told, is going to be an actual lunatic fringe. He’s coming back unhinged and deranged and evil and extreme… yeah… like extreme rules… yeah… the name of the PPV… yeah… oh I dunno.

For this to carry through, you’d have to take all the SummerSlam reports as deliberate red herrings on WWE’s part. Which, admittedly, we’ve seen them do before.
