What’s the rumour here, that this match is the main event or, shock and awe, WWE simply refuse to learn? After the Roman/Joe debacle that saw people literally leaving because they didn’t care about the main event, they’re doing it again.

At the time of writing it hasn’t yet been announced that this match is to determine the number 1 contender for Brock’s Universal title but, well, one way or another, it is. The winner of this almost certainly gets him at SummerSlam

And with no main belt or champion to showcase at the PPV - because I mean, Christ, imagine actually doing that - this match is seen as the next best thing and we’re closing the show with it.

Doesn’t matter that Rollins and Ziggler could be a match of the year contender, doesn’t matter that there’s a WWE Championship match, this is the big deal in Vince’s eyes. Cracking eh?
