WWE Extreme Rules 2019: 7 Things It Told Us About SummerSlam

1. The Undertaker vs. Drew McIntyre Would Work

Motivated 'Taker is the best kind of 'Taker, and the legend had been supping his Red Bull before that tag match opener at Extreme Rules. Noticeably keen to make up for his Goldberg disaster, the icon looked brilliant when bouncing Shane McMahon around, and there was an audible buzz from the crowd when he went nose-to-nose with Drew McIntyre.

WWE shouldn't leave that money on the table.

If put in a 10-minute brawl that allows him to run through his biggest spots, bump a younger man around and then put McIntyre over, The Undertaker will excel. So long as it's kept relatively short (again, 10 minutes max here), it's a must for SummerSlam 2019. Drew would benefit, 'Taker would lap it up and the fans would get that 'Deadman' singles match they've earned after watching a Super 'ShowDowner' in Saudi Arabia.

Extreme Rules has shown WWE how they need to book The Undertaker from now on. He's a greatest hits wrestler these days, not an epic main-eventer. This could well be McIntyre's ticket to the top if it's handled correctly. Bring it on.
