WWE Extreme Rules 2022: 10 Things That Must Happen
2. The ‘Fight Pit’ Headlines
At first, it was tempting to pitch Bayley vs. Bianca Belair's ladder match as the weekend's headliner, buuuuuuuuut...'Fight Pit', baby. This is the first time that old NXT gimmick has been seen on the main roster, so it's a big damn deal. Or, at least, it should be.
WWE must give this one the attention it deserves.
Seth Rollins vs. Matt Riddle has been one of the bigger rivalries since Triple H took charge of WWE affairs too. It's been personal enough to merit this kind of battleground, and putting it on last would scratch a two-for-one itch this company loves. In other words, a unique main event and an easy excuse to put the babyface over.
Also, and this is important for the crew working Extreme Rules, that cage must be a pain in the t*ts to put up and take down. So, sticking it on last would take some pressure off WWE's staff.
