WWE Extreme Rules Results Predictions

1. Evolution (Triple H, Randy Orton, Batista) Vs The Shield (Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose)

The main event and likely to be the best match of the night is Evolution Vs The Shield. Having proved that six man wars are the most compelling match type in WWE, The Shield will be hoping to continue their success here, the six man they had at Elimination Chamber 2014 was superb. Triple H clearly wanted in on that success, hence we have Evolution back on our screens. This contest is a tough one to predict. We do know it will be great, that's for sure, the athletic ability of The Shield fits well with the veteran experience of Evolution. Triple H and Rollins in particular are sure to put on some scintillating exchanges. Reigns will be heavily involved too, as leader of The Shield, he is expected to face Triple H in a one on one at SummerSlam. Having just reformed, it wouldn't be too smart to shut down Evolution with a loss right off the bat. However, Batista is rumoured to be taking time off after Extreme Rules, which would suggest a Shield win. That is unless someone replaces Batista, how about this for a scenario - Sheamus (so far unbooked on the show) runs in on the main event to become Evolution's new member and cost the Shield the win. That would seem a very logical piece of booking, a scenario which can extend the feud. The more conventional wisdom is that Ric Flair makes a run in. After teasing an endorsement of The Shield, he instead sides with Evolution and hands them the win. Alternatively, The Shield could win, a major victory for their career, but how does that facilitate a continuation of the feud toward SummerSlam? Whatever happens this Sunday, it's going to be an excellent match, a deserving main event. Winner: Evolution
