WWE Extreme Rules Updated Lineup - 8 Matches Announced
The final edition of Raw prior to Sunday's Extreme Rules Special Event (or Pay-Per-View) saw WWE finalize the card by adding a couple of matches to the card. We have known the top three matches for several weeks now with Raw devoting plenty of time to all three of them in the build up to this event. Here's a look at the eight match lineup for this Sunday's show taking place in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The Shield (Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose & Seth Rollins) vs. Evolution (Triple H, Batista & Randy Orton) - There is no stipulation announced for the match. Ric Flair appeared on Raw on Monday. We don't know if he'll be there on Sunday night. WWE World Heavyweight Championship (Extreme Rules Match): Daniel Bryan vs. Kane - Bryan defends the WWE Championship against his former tag team partner. Steel Cage Match: John Cena vs. Bray Wyatt - There was no physicality between the two men on Raw. Just some singing from a choir of children. It was a very memorable segment. WWE Intercontinental Title Match: Big E vs. Bad News Barrett - Since Barrett won an eight man tournament to get the title shot he has a lot of momentum. Rob Van Dam vs. Cesaro vs. Jack Swagger - This was added after their interaction on Raw. Cesaro has beat Swagger twice in the last week (Smackdown & Raw), yet the feud is still going on. Handicap Match: Alexander Rusev vs. R-Truth & Xavier Woods - It would be a major surprise if Rusev lost. WWE Divas Title Match: Paige vs. Tamina Snuka - The first appearance for Paige on a PPV. WeeLC Kickoff Pre-show Match: El Torito vs. Hornswoggle - Assuming the LC stands for ladders & chairs, expect weapons to be used in this battle between the little people. It looks like there will be no tag team titles on the line. The Usos were rumored to be defending the tag titles against Ryback & Curtis Axel at Extreme Rules, but they did it on Raw instead. Another title defense will take place on Smackdown this week as Dean Ambrose finally defends the US Title against Alberto Del Rio, Ryback and Curtis in a 3 on 1 handicap match. It would be a surprise if Ambrose leaves as the US Champion, which is fine because he barely defends the title anyway. We will have full coverage of Extreme Rules throughout the week here on WhatCulture with plenty of features and news items relating to the event.
