WWE Fastlane 2017: 11 Things That Must Happen

3. The Return Of The Demon King

What is going on with Finn Bálor?

Dave Meltzer and many others are reporting that the very first WWE Universal Champion is ready to return at any time, but will WWE hold off on bringing the Irishman back until after WrestleMania? If Bálor is going to compete at WrestleMania 33, who will his opponent be? There don't seem to be a whole lot of options right now. Samoa Joe? Roman Reigns? Braun Strowman? The Undertaker?

Unfortunately, Bálor's initial run on the main roster was so brief that the only story that makes any sense for him right now is a revenge angle with Seth Rollins - but as Rollins is firmly planted as a babyface at this point, that clearly isn't the plan. Even so, if Finn Bálor was to return at Fastlane this Sunday, the entire company would receive a major boost going into the most important time of the year.

Finn Bálor is too talented a performer to be left waiting on the sidelines. If The Demon King is ready, then The Demon King needs to be involved, and his role on RAW could be restarted this coming Sunday.

Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man.
