WWE Fastlane 2017: 11 Things That Must Happen

6. Charlotte Flair's Streak Continues

What in the blue hell is going on with the RAW Women's Championship, anyway?

Fans frequently lament WWE's questionable booking decisions - but giving Bayley's emotional championship win away on an episode of RAW must rank as one of the worst decisions in recent memory. Bayley winning the championship was a truly wonderful WrestleMania moment waiting to happen.

If Bayley had gone on to defeat Charlotte for her first title at 'Mania, this would have achieved the double whammy of creating a genuine moment and also bringing to an end Charlotte's singles pay-per-view win streak on the biggest stage. It was such an easy target that WWE seems to have got a little too excited. They have messed things up before time.

So as it is, Charlotte must win the match on Sunday and keep her streak alive, because ending it at Fastlane would be all sorts of underwhelming. This suggests she will be a five-time champion come the end of the night, keeping her on course to beat her father's record of 16 World titles by the end of the year.

If the streak ends here, then it will be the clearest signal since The Shield triple threat took place at Battleground that WWE is serious about increasing the importance of the secondary pay-per-views - but this feels like neither the time nor the place for Charlotte's run to come to an end.
