WWE Fastlane 2018: 10 Things That Must Happen

4. The Usos Beat The New Day

When WWE do away with single-branded pay-per-views after WrestleMania, it'll hopefully mean that we're not subjected to endless rematches on the bigger shows. A feud between The Usos and The New Day was the glue holding SmackDown's tag-team division together towards the end of 2017, but it feels a little lazy of the writing team to rebook it already.

Hell in a Cell, the last time these teams went at it on pay-per-view, was such a great, heated battle that it should have been the last Usos vs. New Day confrontation for a good while.

WWE seem hesitant to turn New Day heel. That's the only thing that'd make this one interesting, and without that plot point it looks like yet another Usos win over their fellow babyfaces is the plan. Although the match will be decent, that's hardly the point; this is as slapdash a tag title program as you're likely to see.

Talk about killing time. SmackDown's creative team are treating Fastlane like a house show stop before 'Mania by even putting this on the card.
