The Leader of the Ce-nation hasn’t been absent on a WrestleMania since Revenge of The Sith. Since before (according to our analytics) the about 15% of our audience were even born. His role on the show diminishes year-on-year but, regardless, he is always there.

This time last year he wasn’t a dead cert, but he had begun his process of embarrassingly coaxing him The Undertaker out of retirement in a drawn-out will they/won’t they angle. The year before that, he was squaring up to The Miz and the pieces were starting to fall into place for a popping of the question match. The year before that, he ran in to save The Rock.

This year though, so far, we’ve had nothing. Reports in the Wrestling Observer continue to indicate that WWE want him to perform at the event but, if those are true, then the clock is ticking to make it happen.
