WWE Gave Aleister Black Part Of The Undertaker's Entrance

Supernatural similarities between old and new aren't exactly coincidental.

Aleister Black

Aleister Black's appearance on WWE's The Bump has sorta' slipped the net in the news this week. That's perhaps unsurprising given Super ShowDown on Thursday, John Cena's return on Friday and the upcoming AEW Revolution pay-per-view on Saturday night.

Still, one story he told (in particular) is well-worth checking out.

Black's entrance is currently one of the most spectacular in all of WWE, and it helps set him apart from others on the roster immediately. It's been likened to other dark, supernatural works of art from The Undertaker and Kane. Now, we know the reason why that comparison is so apt.

The Raw star actually uses a set piece that was meant for 'Taker all along.

During his interview, Black said that he showed WWE a black metal band's DVD, told them he wanted some similar aesthetics for his entrance and left them to work their magic. Later, Triple H showed him the 'coffin lift' that'd work as part of it.

Aleister loved it, even more so when he learned that WWE chiefs had originally planned the prop for one of The Undertaker's grand entrances. They didn't know when they were going to use it however, so Trips jumped in and handed it to Black instead.
