WWE Glasgow Live Review - 10 Interesting Observations You Need To Know

3. Rusev Can Cut A Promo (Doesn't Need Lana?)

Speaking of Rusev, he has come on leaps and bounds since the turn of the year. In a rare case of actually sustaining someone's push, WWE haven't yet lost interest in the big Bulgarian, and as a result he is treated as someone important by the fans, who likely realise that those in charge backstage have high hopes for him going forward. It's only a matter of time before the big man discards his valet, Lana. Up until recently, the 'Ravishing Russian' was doing all of Rusev's talking for him, but the wrestler has started to be given a little more mic time - WWE don't really seem to like main event talent having to rely on a manager to do their speaking in the modern era. In Glasgow, Lana ran through her usual 'Russia is great' spiel, before handing the mic to her man. What followed was a perfect example of why WWE have been teasing an on-screen break up between the pair, because it turns out that Rusev can cut a pretty darn good promo himself. Chastising fans for their reactions to John Cena, the big guy came across as intelligent and well spoken, able to command the attention of the sizeable audience.
