The atmosphere of the broadcast undeniably dipped when Michael Cole threw things over to Byron Saxton, Jerry Lawler, Jim Ross and Booker T at the pre-show panel desk just a handful of matches in. It was much better when, later, WWE used up some time between matches by spotlight local Saudi Arabian talent.

Seeing four of the KSA Tryout hopefuls beam with pride as they represented their country in a WWE ring was a nice touch. Even better, they got to perform some basic moves on a pair of Iranian heels (the Daivari brothers) and get a feel for what it's like to work in front of such a big crowd.

This was win-win.

The segment was certainly a better use of time than hearing Booker T laugh repeatedly, seeing another hype video package rerun or sitting through one of those bloody musical interludes that have plagued WrestleMania over the years.
