3. The Undertaker Vs. Rusev - Casket Match

The King Abdullah International Stadium is one of the few arenas in the world that won't fill with "Rusev Day" chants as soon as Aiden English steps out onto the stage.

Nothing exemplified the crowd's strict adherence to the face/heel divide like 'The Bulgarian Brute' strolling out to smatterings of jeers, rather than his usual explosive babyface pop. Hats off to them for this, because them taking Rusev as a clear cut villain against his legendary opponent helped elevate this Casket Match beyond tedium, and towards respectability.

There were a few rough moments. The Undertaker almost fell flat on his face while throwing punches early on, and his 53-year-old body moved around the ring at a glacial pace. Still, the contest was nowhere near as bad as many had predicted. Rusev enjoyed a lot of offence throughout, and even slapped 'The Deadman' in The Accolade late on, but alas, we all knew who was winning.

Rusev and English were dumped in the casket together - buried softly, brother. The crowd were delighted, but let's hope 'The Brute' finally gets pushed after this. He's played jobber to the stars for too long.

Star Rating: **3/4
