2. Brock Lesnar (c) Vs. Roman Reigns - Universal Title Cage Match

Lesnar vs. Reigns III will have been a nightmare for those who didn't enjoy their WrestleMania 34 bout. It was worked with a similar layout, and quickly devolved into a finisher shoot-out after Brock's opening suplex flurry, and featured a big call-back to the hardway blood spot. Throw the momentum-killing escape spots that the cage stipulation necessitates in WWE, and you're left with a bout that will draw derision from many corners of the internet.

That being said, if you aren't totally fed up with these guys and their feud, there was plenty to enjoy. The opening stages were bags of fun, particularly when 'The Beast' pity-laughed at Reigns after his first F-5. The call-back spot was nicely done, too, with Roman cutting his opponent off before he could slice him up, and the cell wall falling away closed things one a memorable visual.

In an ideal world, this would be the last time we see Lesnar vs. Reigns. The fans aren't into it, and after losing to Brock on a second consecutive pay-per-view, Roman is stuck in Burialsville. He needs rehabilitated as much as Lesnar needs fresh opposition, but the bout wasn't bad at all.

Star Rating: **3/4
