There wasn't much hope going into Hell In A Cell for the match pitting Seth Rollins against 'Demon' Kane. A lot of fans expressed concerns over the validity of Kane as a challenger for the WWE World Heavyweight Title in 2015. Whilst those worries were merited beforehand, they meant nothing as the match prepared to get underway. It's safe to assume not many fans believed Kane would emerge victorious. In order to add just a sliver of doubt, WWE booked the stipulation that 'Corporate' Kane would be fired as 'Director Of Operations' for The Authority if 'Demon' Kane didn't bag the belt. The idea didn't really work, because it would have been a sorry end for Seth Rollins as WWE Champion to lose to Kane at the moment. Despite pre-match hesitations, the actual content of the bout was fine. Both men worked hard, and that should be commended. This was very much a case of defying expectations most people had over what could be achieved with the match. It was a shrewd move to place it after the Divas Title match too, because fans were choking for something a little more wild.
