WWE Hell In A Cell 2018: 10 Things WWE Got Right

9. Giving Randy Orton The Win

There's a dearth of main event level heels on SmackDown at the moment, and, for that reason, it was essential that Orton picked up the win on Sunday night. Again, as a masochistic weirdo who delights in causing pain, he's superb, and it's a million miles away from his run as a dull babyface fighting ineffective heels such as Jinder Mahal and Bray Wyatt.

Now, for the first time in years (and that includes his time as titleholder), Randy looks like he belongs at the top of the card on merit.

There's a nice pattern of menace bubbling away on SmackDown. Orton, Samoa Joe and Becky Lynch all have a credibility to them that the brand lacked when Mahal was running riot as WWE Champ and Shinsuke Nakamura was slugging AJ Styles in the nuts time and time again.

Things, thankfully, are looking up, and Randy is well-placed to either supplant Samoa Joe as AJ's challenger or kill time in another feud before inevitably gunning for the top prize once more.
