Bianca Belair's 2021 has hinged on two moments to date: WWE putting her over in the women's Royal Rumble, and beating Sasha Banks in the main event of WrestleMania 37's first night. Everything else, including her weekly work on TV, has been fairly average.

That doesn't mean they should take the belt off her though.

Belair remains the best choice to lead SmackDown's division through the rest of the year, but she maybe needs to become a little less one-dimensional. The "inspiring hero" act is paper thin, and it's obvious that Bianca needs another layer if she's going to work out as champ in front of returning live crowds.

A strong win over Bayley, one that shows a mean streak, would go a long way to helping the reigning champion rescue her character. Then, WWE need to start lining up some strong villains that can meet Bianca's new ruthless streak head on.
