There's just no way Rhodes should be losing until challenging Roman Reigns for that Undisputed WWE Universal Title. Cody's journey from AEW to WWE has gone straight through Seth Rollins, and that's actually rather fitting considering Seth's prior ties to Triple H and the history there.

A third televised singles win over Rollins is the way to go at HIAC. It'd be even better if Vince McMahon loosened the creative limitations typically imposed on modern-day Cell wars and said that both guys could get a bit of colour - blood would add so, so much to the visual, and it'd be a neat nod towards Dusty too.

Dust was known for getting juice in those timeless WarGames matches of old in the NWA, and he'd be looking down proudly if a bloodied Cody got a win inside the cage on Sunday. Then, after that, Rhodes can grab the mic and get passionate about his future.

Time for him to live his own 'American Dream'...
