WWE Is SPYING On AEW... (WWE News)

Select outlets report a LOT of backstage interest in what AEW is doing on WWE's side.

WrestleVotes is reporting that some behind the scenes at WWE actively keep tabs on what's happening over in rival promotion AEW. The website claimed during a recent Q&A that wrestlers who are friendly with those on the other side will routinely discuss what's going on with them on TV and pay-per-view.

Not only that, but WrestleVotes is also claiming that WWE staff watch AEW programming then report back on it to higher-ups. If true, then this is certainly a smart thing to do. There's also surely no way that Tony Khan completely ignores what's going on over on Raw, SmackDown, NXT or WWE PLE's like Elimination Chamber.

It's in the best interests of both sides to (at least casually) check in and see what others are doing.

However, this quote will be of huge interest to a lot of people:

"I know there are people in Stamford with AEW action figures on their desks. Some people’s job is to watch AEW programming and report into analytics and different departments about what’s going on in AEW. That is a fact. It’s not a hush-hush thing".

Again, this almost certainly goes both ways, but it's no shocker to find out that both WWE and AEW's rosters actively get along. They're all pro wrestlers, after all, and there's a kinship in that. Besides, many of them have either worked together in the past or will work together in the future.

Bayley following her good pals FTR and what they're doing in AEW was used as one example of this shared interest across the board.
